Stegherr are always looking for ways of improving productivity through innovation and this year at LIGNA is no exception.

KSS Twin SawOn show for the first time is the new KSS mitre saw with two fixed saw blades and automatic programmable feed system. The machine will vee notch the component and is able to remove defects which have been highlighted by the operator.

Another new machine on show is the SKF programmableDefect recognitionthrough feed end scribing of profiled glazing astragal bars. This machine will produce perfect scribed ends with no breakout on the profiled face and can also have the defect removal feature as fitted to the KSS. The SKF can be built with a twin cutting units giving it the capacity to work with two different end scribes without tool changing.

There will also be numerous new developments to see on the well established machines such as the KSF-2/E programmable halving joint machine for astragals with defect removal, GLS mite saws and FD-E2 CNC Machining Center.

The KF Mini and KF1 machines will be demonstrated for manual end scribing and automatic scribing, drilling and insertion of fixings.
